Artificial Limb Outreach Programme Reaches Sukkur and Kunri

As part of its mission to make prosthetic care accessible to underserved communities, the Rotary Club of Karachi’s Artificial Limb Centre (ALC) conducted successful outreach camps in Sukkur and Kunri, Umerkot, this month.

On 8–9 July, the ALC team visited Sukkur, where 17 amputees were fitted with artificial limbs, restoring their mobility and independence. During the visit, the team also assessed and recorded measurements for new patients requiring prosthetic support. The outreach continued on 10 July in Kunri, Umerkot, where measurements were taken for approximately 40 new patients.

Across both camps, the team recorded approximately 50 new patient measurements, laying the foundation for future prosthetic fittings. These outreach initiatives reflect the ALC’s ongoing commitment to reaching those who have limited access to specialised rehabilitation services, ensuring that more individuals can regain mobility, confidence, and the opportunity to lead independent lives.
