Living the Rotary Mission
Our website aims to provide information about Rotary itself as a global organization, and more specifically about our club, The Rotary Club of Karachi (RCK), the biggest and the oldest club of Rotary’s District #271. This District covers the Sindh & Balochistan provinces of Pakistan, and as of now, the District comprises of 108 Rotary clubs.
We are very much a Karachi-based club, the biggest city of Pakistan, with a population estimated to be about 25 million today. At the time of the Club’s founding in 1933, the population was only 300,000 inhabitants. Karachi contributes approximately 25 percent of the country’s GDP and generates about 50 percent of the country’s revenue — more than the next ten largest cities combined.
Our projects and programmes however are not limited to Karachi, but extend to many other cities, towns and rural areas of the Sindh province. You can read about these under the RCK PROGRAMMES header above.
This website is not only for our own members, but also for Rotarians all over the world and all else who would like to know more about Rotary and about our Club.
As with everything new, this website will remain a ‘work in progress’ for some time, as we continue to expand, improve and update the content, and troubleshoot any design or structural issues that may pop up. Your patience therefore
will be much appreciated!
We also welcome any feedback you may wish to share with us, and you can do
so by contacting us at the link provided.
Sincerely,
RCK WEBSITE TEAM
